Australia 1989 $10 State Series, Silver Uncirculated Commemorative Coin: Queensland

The Royal Australian Mint (RAM) released eight Silver Ten Dollar Coins, to commemorate each Australian State and Territory. The ‘Ten Dollar State Coin Series’ was released over an 9-year period and features the Coat of Arms for each individual State and Territory.

This is the fourth coin in the State Series and features the official Queensland Coat of Arms. The Queensland Coat of Arms, granted by Queen Victoria in 1893 is the oldest Coat of Arms of all the Australian States and Territories. The coin is struck in 92.5% silver measuring 34mm in diameter and presented in the official RAM presentation folder, complete with the outer protective sleeve
