Olympic Games Rome 1960 commemorative Gold medal

Minted on behalf of the Organising Committee of the XVII Olympiad of Rome in 1960. Series of 6 Commemorative medals in 900/1000 gold, officials coinage issued by the Organising Committee of  the Rome 1960 Olympic Games by Italian numismatics minted by the Italian mint.

The Obverse depicts the torchbearer standing in front while raising the Olympic Torch, Between the Triumphal Arch of Constantine and the Parthenon of Athens. The Reverse depicts the Capitoline she wolf on a folder inscribed MCMLX and the five Olympic Rings.

The medal is 6.9 g with diameter 22 mm.
