This series of 2 commemorative medals created by the Hellenic Olympic Committee in Commemoration of the XIX Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, is a Strictly Limited Issue of 300 pieces.
One side of each medal is based on coin minted for Olympic Games in Hellenic Antiquity. The coin was a silver stater of 500-490 b.C.
The medals is a work of art by the sculptor Haris N. Gyras.
